Giovanna Biallo Stone

Biallo completed an advanced diploma of fine art at Michaelis in 1976 and in 1978 she married the painter Simon Stone, where they lived in her native land, Italy for one year painting Perugian landscapes.

Biallo is most well known for her unique style of painting on her own hand built plates, where she excels as both painter and sculptor in this ceramic medium. Most recently in 2019, Biallo had a solo exhibition at World Art, showing oil on canvas works, the show was titled Companions. The work in this exhibition, however, was produced in 1979 and is a timeless work which we find to be appropriate for this show.
