ANDRY KASHIVI
Andry was born during the1950's in Angola. Her family were hunters and gatherers as well as subsistence farmers.
After relocating to Schmidtsdrift in South Africa she joined the Adult Education programme where she acquired basic literacy. During the same period she became an artist at the !Xun and Kwhe art project. She is well-known for her knowledge
of her culture and is able to recount a large number of traditional folk stories.
